Q. Four solutions of $NH _{4} Cl$ are taken with concentrations $1\, M , 0.1\, M , 0.01 \,M$ and $0.001 \,M$. Their degree of hydrolysis are $h _{1}, h _{2}, h _{3}$ and $h _{4} .$ What is the gradation of degree of hydrolysis?

Solution:

$h(W B+S A)=\sqrt{\frac{K_{w}}{K_{b} \times C}}$
$\alpha \propto \frac{1}{\sqrt{C}}$
$\therefore h_{4} > h_{3} > h_{2} > h_{1}$
