Q. For the chemical reaction,
$3X\left(\right.g\left.\right)+Y\left(\right.g\left.\right) \rightarrow X_{3}Y\left(\right.g\left.\right)$ ; the amount of $X_{3}Y$ at equilibrium is affected by

Solution:

$3X\left(\right.g\left.\right)+Y\left(\right.g\left.\right) \rightarrow X_{3}Y\left(\right.g\left.\right)$
The relation shows a decrease in mole (volume) during the course of reaction and thus, increase in pressure will favour forward reaction. Also $K_{p}$ changes with temperature. Catalyst has no effect on $K_{p}$ . Thus, P and T influence the equilibrium concentrations.
