Q. For carbanion,
$\underset{(A)}{R_{3}} \overline{ C } \,\,\,\, \underset{(B)}{R_{2}} \overline{ C } H \,\,\,\, \overline{ C } \underset{(C)}{H _{3}} \,\,\,\, \underset{(D)}{R-\overline{ C } H _{2}} $
Stability order will be

Solution:

As number of alkyl groups increases, $+I$ effect increases which further increases the electron density on carbanion and anion becomes less and less stable. Thus, correct order of stability is :

$\underset{(c)}{\overline{ C } H _{3}} > \underset{(D)}{R-\overline{ C } H _{2}} > \underset{(B)}{R_{2} \overline{ C } H} > \underset{(A)}{R_{3} \overline{ C }}$
