AP EAMCET
AP EAMCET 2020
A
$4 \sqrt{2}$
B
$\sqrt{15}$
C
$\sqrt{17}$
D
$\sqrt{13}$
Solution:
Let the third side of right angled triangle is ' $p$, then either
$p^{2}=(2 \sqrt{2})^{2}+5^{2}=8+25$
$\Rightarrow p=\sqrt{33}$
or $p^{2}=5^{2}-(2 \sqrt{2})^{2}=25-8$
$\Rightarrow p=\sqrt{17}$
