Q. For a gas the difference between the two specific heats is $4150\, J / kg - K$. What is the specific heats at constant volume of gas it the ratio of the specific heat is $1.4$ ?

Thermodynamics

Solution:

$As , C _{p}- C _{ V }=R=4150\, J / kg - K$
and $\frac{ C _{p}}{ C _{ V }}=\gamma=1.4$
$C _{V}=\frac{R}{\gamma-1}=\frac{4150}{(1.4-1)}$
$=10375\, J / kg - K$
