Q.
Folding and unfolding of actin and myosin leads to amoeboid movement. This was hypothesized by

Solution:
Goldacre and Lorsch proposed a folding and unfolding hypothesis which explained the movement of amoeba. They hypothesised that the plasma gel consists of several unfolded proteins, which undergo folding changes to plasma sol and the plasma sol mainly consists of folded proteins (mainly actomyosin complexes) which become plasma gel when unfolded. When the amoeba moves the plasma gel (gelatinous) forms the cell's boundary and the plasma sol (fluid) moves and extends forward.
