Solution:

As batteries wear out, the temperature of the filament of flashlight attains a lesser value, therefore the intensity of radiation reduces. Also dominating wavelength $\left(\right.\left(\lambda \right)_{m}\left.\right)$ in the spectrum, which is the red colour, increases.
