Terminal oxidation or ETS is the last step of aerobic respiration where reduced coenzymes NADH2 and FADH2 are oxidised by molecular oxygen through FAD, CoQ (ubiquinone) Cyt b, Cyt c,, Cyt c, Cyt a and Cyt aj. So here oxygen is the final electron aceptor.
