Figure shows that slope of $x-t$ graph changes from positive to negative at $t = 2 \,s,$ and it changes from negative to positive at $t = 4 \,s$ and so on. Thus direction of velocity is reversed after every two seconds. Hence, the body must be receiving consecutive impulses after every two seconds.
