Q. Figure-5.102 shows a smooth inclined plane fixed in a car accelerating on a horizontal road. The angle of incline $\theta$ is related to the acceleration $a$ of the car as $a=g \tan \theta$. If the sphere is set in pure rolling on the incline :Physics Question Image

System of Particles and Rotational Motion

Solution:

It will continue rolling because the inclined plane and sphere are initially at rest with respect to the car as pseudo force on sphere $m a \cos \theta$ is balanced by $m g \sin \theta$.
