Q. Fats are emulsified by the bile juice because it contains:

Solution:

Bile juice is secreated by liver and stored in the gall bladder. Bile contains bile salts such as sodium bicarbonate, taurocholate etc. Bile acts as a superdetergent. It combines with fats to form microscopic droplets called micelles in a process known as emulsification. Bile juice does not contain any enzyme.
