Q. Faraday's constant is defined as

J & K CETJ & K CET 2010Electrochemistry

Solution:

Charge carried by one electron
$1.6 \times 10^{-19} C$
$\therefore $ Charge carried by $6.023 \times 10^{23}$ electrons (ie, $1$ mol electrons)
$=1.6 \times 10^{-19} \times 6.023 \times 10^{23}$
$=96368=1\, F$
Thus, Faraday constant $(F)$ is defined as charge carried by one mole of electrons.
