Excretory waste of birds and most reptiles is uric acid so, these animals are called uricotelic animals and the phenomenon of excretion is uricotelism. But the aquatic reptiles excrete ammonia as nitrogenous waste, so, these are called ammonotelic and the phenomenon is called ammonotelism. A few reptiles are ureatelic (Turtles and alligators).
