What volume of gas (ethane gas) at S.T.P. would be obtained by a current of 0.5 amp $(80 \%$ efficient $) ;$ if the current is passed for $965 \,min ?$

n-factor = total no. of $e ^{-}$ involved per molecule

$\Rightarrow $ No. of $e ^{-}$ releted to 1 molecule of $C _{2} H _{6}=2$

$\Rightarrow $ So n factor $=2$

$gm$ eq. $\left( C _{2} H _{6}\right)=$ Faraday

Moles $\times n$ factor $=\frac{\text { it }}{96500}$

$\frac{ V _{ L }}{22.4} \times 2=\frac{0.5 \times \frac{80}{100} \times 965 \times 60}{96500}$

$V _{ L }=2.688 L$
