Q. Equivalent weight of $FeC _2 O _4$ in the change,
$FeC _2 O _4 \longrightarrow Fe ^{3+}+ CO _2$

Redox Reactions

Solution:

Here both Fe and oxalate ion undergo a change in oxidation number as shown below :
The overall reaction is a $3e^-$ change and hence the equivalent weight of $FeC_{2}O_{4} = \frac{mol. \,wt}{3} = \frac{M}{3}$
