Solution:

Assuming mass of $CH_{4}$ and $H_{2}$ are $1gram$ of each

$Mole_{C H_{4}}=\frac{1}{16}$ ; $Mole_{H_{2}}=\frac{1}{2}$

$P_{H_{2}}=$ Mole fraction $\times$ Ptotal

total moles $=\frac{1}{16}+\frac{1}{12}=\frac{1 + 8}{16}=\frac{9}{16}$

mole fraction of = $H_{2}=\frac{mole of H_{2}}{t o t a l m o l e s }=\frac{1 / 2}{9 / 16}=\frac{8}{9}$ $\frac{1 / 2}{9 / 16}=\frac{8}{9} \mathrm{P}_{\mathrm{H}_{2}}=\frac{8}{9} \times \mathrm{P}_{\text {total }}$
