Types of xerophytes :
1. Drought escapers/Drought evaders (Ephemerals): A plant living for a few days is called ephemerals. E.g. Argemone.
2. Drought resisting or Succulents : Resist drought by accumulating water in their tissues. E.g.: Opuntia Aloe, Agave, Cacti, Asparagus and Euphorbia.
3. Non-succulent perinneals : Real drought resistant plants. E.g.Calotropis, Acacia, Capparis, Nerium
