Q. Enzymes used in recombinant DNA technology are
(1) reverse transcriptase
(2) ligase
(3) phosphatase
(4) restriction endonudeases

BHUBHU 2009

Solution:

Restriction endonucleases and ligases both are the main tools of genetic engineering. Restriction endonucleases are also called molecular scissors as these enzymes cut the DNA at highly specific sites on both the strands of duplex while ligases are the enzymes used to seal the nicks formed by restriction enzymes.
