Solution:

Energy density $=\frac{1}{2} \varepsilon_{0} E^{2}$
Since $\,\,\, E=\frac{V}{d}$
Therefore energy density $=\frac{1}{2} \varepsilon_{0}\left(\frac{V^{2}}{d^{2}}\right)$
