Solution:
Plastids are found in plant cells. These consist of pigments. Based on the type of pigments, these are further classified as chloroplasts, chromoplasts and leucoplasts. Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll, which brings about photosynthesis. Chromoplasts contain colored pigments like carotenes, xanthophylls, etc. This is responsible for the colored part of the plant. Leucoplasts are colorless plastids and contain stored nutrients. These can be amyloplasts if they store carbohydrates. This is seen in potatoes etc. elaioplasts store oils, fats and aleuroplasts contain proteins.
