Q. Each haemoglobin molecule can carry

Breathing and Exchange of Gases

Solution:

Each haemoglobin (Hb) molecule can carry a maximum of four molecules of $O _{2}$.
$Hb _{4}+4 O _{2} \rightarrow Hb _{4} O _{8}$
Haemoglobin is a red coloured iron containing pigment in the RBCs. Oxygen can bind with haemoglobin in a reversible manner to form oxyhaemoglobin $\left( Hb O _{2}\right)$.
