Solution:

During photosynthesis, green plants fix atmospheric CO2 to carbohydrates. It occurs in two stages-light reaction and dark reaction. During light reaction, ATP and NADPH are produced and H20 is oxidized to release O2 (photolysis of water i.e., H2O). CO2 is reduced to glucose in dark reaction of photosynthesis.
