Solution:

During group detection, 'Group $V^{'}$ cations [ $Ba^{2 +},Sr^{2 +}$ and $Ca^{2 +}$ ] are precipitated as carbonates using the group reagent [ $\left(NH_{4}\right)_{2}\left(CO\right)_{3}$ in presence of $NH_{4}OH$ and $NH_{4}Cl$ ].
