Q. During isothermal expansion of an ideal gas, its

Thermodynamics

Solution:

During isothermal expansion of an ideal gas, $\Delta T=0$.
Now $H=E+P V$
$\because \Delta H=\Delta E+\Delta(P V) $
$\therefore \Delta H=\Delta E+\Delta(n R T) $
Thus if $\Delta T=0 ., \Delta H=\Delta E $
i.e., remain unaffected
