Q. Consider a car moving on a straight road with a speed of $100ms^{- 1}$ . The distance at which car can be stopped is $\left(\left(\mu \right)_{k} = 0 .5\right)$

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

$u=100ms^{- 1}, \, v=0, \, \, a=-\mu g$
Using $v^{2} - u^{2} = 2 a S ,$
$0^{2}-100\times 100=-2\times 0.5\times 10\times S$
or $S=\frac{100 \times 100}{10}m=1000m$
