Q. Compare the boiling points of very dilute solutions of $AlCl_{3}\left(\right.t_{1}\left.\right)$ and $CaCl_{2}\left(\right.t_{2}\left.\right)$ , both having the same molar concentration

Solution:

$\text{Δ} \text{T}_{\text{b}} \propto \text{i}$ (Concentration constant)

$\text{} \text{T}_{\text{b}} \propto \text{i}$

$AlCl_{3}$ furnishes more ions than $CaCl_{2}$ and thus shows higher boiling point i.e. $t_{1}>t_{2}$ .
