Co-dominance is the phenomenon is which both the alleles present in an organism express equally. Allele $I^{A}$ produces blood group antigen A while Allele $I^{B}$ produces blood group antigen B. When a person has genotype $I^{A} \, I^{B}$ both these genes are equally expressed and the body produces both antigens A and B. Such a person is said to have blood group AB
