Q. Claviceps purpurea grows as parasite

Solution:

Claviceps purpurea is also known as ergot fungi. ‘Holy fire’ disease or condition is caused by eating rye flour contaminated by ergot alkaloid. This ergot alkaline was transfer to rye plant by the fungi Claviceps purpurea. These are found as parasites generally on fruits of grasses.
