hairs, epiblema, cortex, endodermis, pericycle, phloem,
protoxylem, pith and metaxylem.
Monocot root do not undergo any secondary growth. It
consists of thin walled cells in the epiblema; unicellular
root hairs, passage cells and casparian thickenings in the
endodermis; parenchyma cells in the pericycle; conjuctive
tissue; distinct pith and radial vascular bundles with
polyarch condition and an exarch xylem. Cuticle and
stomata are absent
