Q. Choanocyte is the characteristic feature of

Solution:

Choanocytes (collar cells) are cells with single flagellum generating currents by which sponges (Porifera) draw water through their ostia and catch food particles which stick to the outside of cylindrical protoplasmic collar around base of flagellum. Affinities of sponges with protozoan choanoflagellates is problematical.
