Solution:
The cell wall of most fungi consist of chitin or cellulose. In Pythium, the hyphal wall contains cellulose whereas, in yeast the cell wall is thin and is composed of chitin in combination with other compounds (carbohydrates, glucan and mannan). The bacterial cell wall contains N-acetyl glucosamine and N-acetyl muramic acid.
