Solution:

Cells are least radiation sensitive when in the S phase, then in the G1phase, then in the G2phase and most sensitive in the M phase of the cell cycle. This is described by the ‘law of Bergonié and Tribondeau, formulated in 1906. According to this law, radiosensitivity of a tissue is directly proportional to its reproductive capacity and inversely proportional to its degree of differentiation.
