(a) MTP can be done within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy on the opinion of one registered medical practitioner.
(b) MTP can be done between 12-24 weeks of pregnancy on the opinion of two registered medical practitioners.
MTP can be performed when the continuation of pregnancy:
(I) would involve a risk to the life of the pregnant woman or
(II) There is a substantial risk to the child
