Q. Calculate the value of capacity in picofarad, which will make 101.4 microhenry inductance to oscillate with frequency of one megahertz.

Alternating Current

Solution:

$C =? L =101.4 \mu H =101.4 \times 10^{-6} H$
$v=1 MHz =10^{6} Hz$
As, $v=\frac{1}{2 \pi \sqrt{L C}}$
$\therefore C =\frac{1}{4 \pi^{2} v^{2} L}$
$C =\frac{1 \times 7 \times 7}{4 \times 22 \times 22 \times 10^{12} \times 101.4 \times 10^{-6}}$
$=2.496 \times 10^{-10}$ farad
$C =249.6 pF$
