Q. $C - Cl$ bond in chlorobenzene in comparison to $C - Cl$ bond in methyl chloride is

Because of $+R$ effect of $Cl$-atom with the ring, $C - Cl$ bond in chlorobenzene gets a double bond character and it becomes shorter and stronger than the $C - Cl$ bond of in methyl chloride $\left( CH _{3}- Cl \right)$, which does have such effect.
