Solution:

$C_{6}H_{6}Cl_{6} + 3KOH \to C_{6}H_{3}Cl_{3} + 3KCl + 3H_{2}O$
Thus benzene hexahalides decompose when heated with alc. KOH and yield trichloro benzene.
