Solution:

Bryophyta shares affinity to Pteridophyta:
A. Presence of antheridia and archaegonia, which are multicellular with a sterile jacket layer.
B. Antherozoid mother cell is covered by a single layer of sterile jacket layer.
C. Heteromorphic alternation of generation and development of sporophytic generation at least partly.
However, there are certain differences, like
I. Main plant body in Pteridophyta is sporophytic and in Bryophyta is gametophytic.
II. Bryophyta members do not have vascular tissue developed. Developed vascular tissue is found in Pteridophyta.
III. All Bryophyta members are homosporous, while some genera of Pteridophyta are heterosporous.
