Q. Brain sand is found in

Solution:

In man, the pineal gland starts to calcify at about the time of puberty. Such calcium deposits are called brain sand. The presence of brain sand may indicate increased secretory activity.
Hassalls corpuscles are spherical or oval bodies present in the thymus. They are phagocytic in function. Herring bodies are found in pituitary glands. Parafollicular cells or C-cells are present in thyroid gland.
