Solution:

Female reproductive system consists of pair of ovaries, pair of oviduct, uterus, vagina and vulva. Uterus is also known as womb or hystera. The parts of uterus are fundus, body and cervix. Cervix is between the body of uterus and vagina and this shows two openings internal and external os. Embryo gets implanted in the uterus and develops into foetus within nine months following this parturition takes place. During parturition the foetus passes through cervix and vagina and hence these are together known as the birth canal.
