Q. At high temperature, the following reaction occurs

$4CuO\left(s\right)\rightleftharpoons2Cu_{2}O\left(s\right)+O_{2}\left(g\right)$

Consider the following statements regarding reaction

$1.$ $K_{p}=p_{O_{2}}$

$2.$ $K_{p}$ depends upon the amounts of CuO and $Cu_{2}O$

$3.$ $K_{p} < < K_{c}$

$4.$ $K_{p}>K_{c}$

Of the statements

Solution:

$K_{p}=p_{O_{2}}$ is correct.

$\left[O_{2} \left(g\right)\right] \propto p_{O_{2}}$

$K _{ p }= K _{ c }( RT )^{\Delta n _{ g }}$

$\Delta n_{g}=$ Number of mol gaseous (Products - Reactants)

Here $\Delta n_{g}=1$

So $K_{p}>K_{c}$
