Q. At constant temperature, if pressure of one mole of an ideal gas to increased by $25\%$ , the volume of the gas.

Solution:

Let $P_{1}=100atm$ and $V=100L$
If $25\%$ increase then $P_{2}=125atm$
at constant temperature, $P_{1}V_{1}=P_{2}V_{2}$
$100\times 100=125\times V_{2}$
$V_{2}=80L$
$\Rightarrow $ decreases by $20\%$
