Solution:

The constant release of compounds like carbon tetrachloride, CFCs and other chlorine in atmosphere is the main reason for the ozone depletion. As the compounds break into chlorine radicals in presence of UV radiations, they combine with ozone forming chlorine monoxide radicals. It later forms more chlorine radicals thus leading to ozone breakdown.
