The total energy of $SHM$ = kinetic energy of particle + potential energy of particle
At mean position the total energy of the particle in $SHM$ is in form of kinetic energy. At extreme position, the total energy of the particle in $SHM$ is in the form of the potential energy
The variation of total energy of the particle in $SHM$ with time is shown in a graph
