Q. Assertion : $Sb _{2} S _{3}$ is not soluble in yellow ammonium sulphide.
Reason : The common ion effect due to $S^{2-}$ ions reduces the solubility of $Sb_2S_3$.

AIIMSAIIMS 2006Equilibrium

Solution:

Antimony trisulphide $Sb _{2} S _{3}$ is soluble in yellow ammonium sulphide forming ammonim thioantimonate.
$Sb _{2} S _{3}+\underset{\text { Amm. sulphide}}{3\left( NH _{4}\right)_{2} S }+2 S \longrightarrow \underset{\text {Ammonium thio antimonate }}{2\left( NH _{4}\right)_{3} SbS _{4}}$
The common ion effect due to $S ^{2-}$ ion does not reduces the solubility of $Sb _{2} S _{3}$. So both the statements are false.
