Q. Assertion: $pH $ of neutral solution is always $7$.
Reason: $pH$ of a solution does not depend upon temperature.

AIIMSAIIMS 2011

Solution:

$pH$ of a neutral solution is $7$ at $298\, K$ increasing temperature, more water dissociates, consequently $[H^+ ]$ increases, i.e. $pH$ decreases.
