Q. Assertion : Galvanised iron does not rust.
Reason : Zinc has a more negative electrode potential than iron.

AIIMSAIIMS 2005Electrochemistry

Solution:

Galvanised iron i.e., iron coated with zinc does not rust easily as zinc has more negative electrode potential (- 0.76\,V) than iron. $(-0.41\, V )$ i.e., zinc is lesser reactive than iron.
