Q. Assertion Both $106\, g$ of sodium carbonate and $12\, g$ of graphite have same number of carbon atoms.
Reason Both $106\, g$ sodium carbonate and $12\, g$ of graphite contain $1\, g$-atom of carbon atoms.

AIIMSAIIMS 2014

Solution:

$g$-atom of $Na _{2} CO _{3}=\frac{106}{106}=1\, g$-atom
$\left(g \text {-atom }=\frac{\text { mass }}{\text { molar mass }}\right)$
$g$-atom of graphite $=\frac{12}{12}=1\, g$-atom
