Q. Assertion : An exothermic process which is nonspontaneous at high temperature may become spontaneous at low temperature.
Reason : Spontaneous process is an irreversible process and may be reversed by some external agency.

Thermodynamics

Solution:

$\Delta G = \Delta H - T\Delta S$
For exothermic process, $\Delta H = - ve$. For $\Delta G$ to be $-ve$ (fo spontaneous process), $\Delta H > T\Delta S$ which is possible only at low temperature.
