$a x+b<0$ ...(i)
$a x+b>0$ ...(ii)
$a x+b \leq 0$ ...(iii)
$a x+b \geq 0$ ...(iv)
$a x+b y>c$ ...(v)
$a x+b y \leq c$ ...(vi)
$a x^2+b x+c>0$ ...(vii)
$a x^2+b x+c \leq 0$ ...(viii)
Inequalities (i), (ii), (v) and (vii) are strict inequalities, while inequalities (iii), (iv), (vi) and (viii) are slack inequalities.
$\therefore$ Both A and R are correct but R cannot explain A.
