Q. Assertion: A rain drop after falling through some height attains a constant velocity. Reason: At constant velocity the viscous drag is just equal to its weight.

VMMC MedicalVMMC Medical 2008

Solution:

When a rain drop falls in air (viscous medium), then after falling through same height, the viscous drag balances the weight of the drop and then through rest height, its velocity is constant or it attains a terminal velocity.
